
UST's Macias Accepted to Thomistic Seminar

John Macias, doctoral student at the University of St. Thomas Center for Thomistic Studies, has been accepted to the 8th Annual Thomistic Seminar for graduate students in philosophy and related disciplines from Aug. 4-10 in Princeton, N.J. The topic is "Themes in the Philosophy of Alasdair MacIntyre and Thomas Aquinas."

The seminar will be led by John Haldane, professor at University of St. Andrews, Sarah Broadie, professor at University of St. Andrews, David Solomon, professor at University of Notre Dame, and Candace Vogler, professor at University of Chicago.
Issues to be discussed include the nature of philosophy, truth and objectivity, human nature, morality, and politics.
